This is a 2-year extended warranty (on top of the one year standard warranty on any and all issues and failures to the instrument (including labor) for reasons other than abuse, misuse or accidental damage. This warranty protects the entire instrument for the first 3 years after purchase.
Warranty covers parts, labor and return shipping from the factory - customer pays shipping to send the instrument to the factory.
The customer may purchase an extended warranty at the time of instrument purchase or at any time during the original one year warranty period without returning the unit for check-out. The new warranty will begin at the end of the original warranty period.
Each warranty purchased is assigned to a specific instrument and serial number and cannot be used to service any instrument other than the one for which it was purchased.
